DESCRIPTION:Conversational Italian at the Nahant Public Library \nThere are 3 levels currently being offered\, all led by Alessandro Massaro\, native speaker and trained language instructor. \n\nWednesdays from 2:30 – 4:30\, there are six participants at the beginning level. We use Volare by Domenico Mudugno and short stories to learn vocabulary\, grammar\, and pronunciation\, and practice listening\, reading and speaking. \nFridays from 2:30-3:00\, a family (2 children and 1 adult) come to learn Italian. We use songs\, short stories and fairy tales. This is an all-ages beginning level.\nFridays from 3:00 – 4:30\, we speak almost only Italian in this more advanced level group\, as we read Il Gattopardo by Tommaso Di Lampedusa. We also read other stories depending on participant interest.  \n\nAll groups are learning to play Scoppa\, an Italian card game.
