Mushroom Talk with Jonathan Kranz

Jonathan Kranz, a MA Audubon Certified Field Naturalist and vice president of North America’s oldest mushroom organization, the Boston Mycological Club is coming to the library to talk about mushrooms. He will talk about what they are, how they live, and why they’re fascinating. The Talk will cover the basics of fungal life with insights on foraging for food and avoiding toxics, and a special emphasis on common mushrooms likely to be found locally.
