Libraries are known as places where books are borrowed and returned. These days, you can even borrow eBooks without even entering the library building. And here are two more services that can put a book into your hands in an unusual way:

Friends Books Sale

The Friends of Nahant Public Library receive book donations and maintain a book sale on the third floor of the Library. Purchase novels, coffee table books, or handy paperbacks at rock-bottom prices! The Friends also offer mini-sales at offsite locations during the year, and one giant book sale in the summer. Be sure to “Like” us on Facebook to stay up to date on Book Sale and other happenings.

Little Free Library

Nahanters and visitors can take and replenish books at will at the Little Free Library, a book cupboard open mid-May to mid-October at the access path to Short Beach opposite Spring Road. Part of the national Little Free Library movement, the books are free and the Library checks weekly during the season to ensure that there are books available.
